An easy way to clean your window or sliding door tracks. Usually any type of spray cleaner that is safe on all surfaces will clean the dirt away in the sliding door track with ease. If you don t clean the sliding door tracks and rollers regularly or the sliding doors are not used. With door open spray a nonabrasive cleaner in the track and wipe it down.

The cleaning and lubrication process is quick and easy to complete. Then slide the door all the way open vacuum the other side and scrape out the dirt and debris inside the track using a flat blade screwdriver. Use the butter knife covered with the rag to get it better in the corners. To quickly clean and lubricate a sliding glass door start by vacuuming 1 side of track while the door is still closed.

To remove more stubborn dirt combine equal parts of cold water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Vacuum both the top and bottom of the sliding glass door as well as the tracks. Wet your rag and start cleaning up the tracks with what is left scrubbing if needed. Then scrub them with a wire brush and warm soapy water.

Use a miniature vacuum to remove any of these loose materials. Spray windex or similar spray cleaner. Try it out at your home. Admire your handiwork that looks as though you spent a half hour or more.

Bits of leaves bark gravel and sand are just some of the things that can get into your door s track and prevent it from gracefully sliding. Remove as much of the loose dirt as possible with a vacuum attachment then spray the tracks with windex. Give the track one last wipe down. Open the door and repeat on the other side of the track.

First vacuum the tracks to get rid of any dust and debris. To clean sliding glass door tracks try using a vacuum and some soapy water. Now wipe the dirt away. Inspect the round portion of the track for any buildup that may have occurred over time.
